This backing track is inspired by Oli Brown’s “Real Good Time”, from the 2010 “Heads I Win Tails You Lose” album.
There are 2 parts to the track:
The “A” section is a 12-bar blues with a pretty standard chord progression.
The “B” section can be seen as a bridge, starting on the IV chord.
The key of F is rather unusual in the blues world, but it’s a great opportunity to vary your fingerings and find new shapes for the minor pentatonic scale. It is also a good idea to explore F mixolydian, a major scale with a flat 7th.
Apart from that, feel free to shred like there’s no tomorrow!
